About Me

My name is Tessa Teberg and I am a current student in the Apparel Merchandising & Design program at Kirkwood Community College, where I am developing my perspective on fashion through both creative and technical practice. My work is driven by a strong passion for styling, with a focus on creating looks that feel intentional, expressive, and reflective of individual identity. I am especially interested in photoshoots and visual storytelling, where I can bring together styling, concept development, and creative direction to build visually compelling narratives.

Sustainability plays a central role in my approach to fashion, I am  drawn to thrifted and pre-existing garments, using styling and upcycling to extend their life and shift how they are precieved. I focus on curating outfits from secondhand pieces, showing that strong, intentional styling can have just as much impact as newly designed clothing.

Campus Career Closet

Mission Statement

Campus Career Closet: Style Your Success is a multi-phase initiative designed to support community college students as they prepare for interviews, internships, and first jobs. The event combines a business casual clothing drive with a styled pop-up experience where students can receive free professional clothing and personalized styling guidance. The goal is to reduce barriers to professional dress while building student confidence and career readiness.

The Creator: Tessa Teberg

The Campus Career Closet was initiated and conceptualized by me as part of an internship completed under the guidance of my professor, Dr. April Elisha Stanley. My process was heavily influenced by my background in thrifting and personal styling. I approached sourcing with an emphasis on quality, fit, and versatility. Drawing from my experience in secondhand curation, I selected garments that could translate across different personal styles while still aligning with professional expectations.

This project reflects my broader design perspective: that styling is not only aesthetic, but functional and impactful.
